JIMMY BOSCH

PLANE'' DE LA SALSA
''(PUERTO RICO, 2004) @

been over 4 years since the last album from Jimmy Bosch, "Mr. Salsa Dura" but has not lost anything in between. Armed with a who's who of musicians, this recording is the most aggressive he has ever taken.

"I come to sing" is a discharge between soneros Herman Olivera, Ray De La Paz, Willie Torres and Marco Bermudez. This item operates with George Delgado bongos and timbales with Pablo Chino Nunez. Dave Valentin hits with "Ambassador" and Alfredo De La Fe on violin and Mauricio Smith, Flute Jr. (son of the great Mauricio Smith, RIP) started with "What a relief."

But with all the star power, this CD belongs to sonero Rey Bayona de Ecuador. This man obviously has studied Hector Lavoe without copying. The title track is a good example of what can make a sonero tune with itself. The sweeps in this song as if he had written. The soneos are fast and ferocious. You have to stop dancing and listening. No!

Jimmy Bosch with this record shows he is maturing as a bandleader and allows the musicians to stretch, but not alone dominate every minute of the song. He is the author of all the songs are songs very personal about cancer, depression, death, addiction and more, but it gives a positive spin on the end, type Rubén Blades.
Jimmy, the ate you, brother!

*********************** More than Four Years Have Passed Since the last release of "Mr. Salsa Dura "Jimmy Bosch and man, I have not has lost a step.
Armed with a who's who of musicians, this recording is Bosch's Most aggressive release to date.

"I come to sing" That is to discharge you soneros Herman Olivera, Ray De La Paz, Willie Torres and Marco Bermudez soneos for soneos trading. Bongos by George Delgado and Timbales by Pablo Chino Núñez keep this track explosive. Dave Valentin rocks out on “El embajador” and Alfredo De La Fé on violin and Mauricio Smith, Jr. on the flute (son of the late, great Mauricio Smith) rip through “Qué alivio”

But with all the star power, this cd belongs to sonero Rey Bayona from Ecuador. This man has obviously studied Héctor Lavoe without being a copycat. The title track alone is an example of what a sonero who’s in tune with himself can do. He destroys this tune as if he wrote it. The soneos are fast and ferocious. I mean you have to stop dancing to listen to him go. DAMN!

With this recording Jimmy Bosch shows that he is maturing as a bandleader by allowing his band members and guest to stretch out and no taking a solo every minute of the song. Also, his writing (he wrote all the tunes) has become much more personal dealing with issues of cancer, depression, death, addiction, etc., and giving them a positive spin at the end á la Ruben Blades.
Jimmy, te la comistes bro!
